Keith (Skip) Petersen, Sales Agent and Auctioneer

Skip has been a member of the Western Kansas Community all of his life.  A graduate of Rexford High School, Skip devoted most of his time farming and hunting.  In 1979, He went to Mason City, Iowa to receive training to become an auctioneer. 

In 1980, Skip and wife Betty, purchased half interest in the Oberlin Livestock in Oberlin, Kansas.  The Petersen family: Skip, Betty, Robin, and Brett moved west to St. Francis where Skip and  Betty took over the management of the St. Francis Livestock Commission Company in 1986.  With over 21 years in the sale barn business and the knowledge of the livestock industry, farming trade and the people of the area; Skip  has managed to make many friends and business associates along the way.

Seventeen years as a licensed real estate sales person, his interest with Western Auction & Real Estate  are mostly agricultural areas, such as land listing and auctions and farm or household auctions.

Skip keeps busy in the community through the St. Francis Booster Club, his church and through his children.  Other hobbies include his cattle and chores, professional sports, and spending time with the family.  He enjoys supporting the St. Francis Indians as they have marked a "war-path" through his life.  Go Big Green!
